Sharm el Sheikh, a small fishing village of 1968 has become one of the most traveled beach resorts in Egypt. Situated on the Sinai Peninsula, this beautiful city of Sharm el Sheikh is encircled by mighty mountains, bubbling waters, brightly hued tents and Bedouins (nomadic tribes of Arabs). The city is popularly known as the 'City of Peace', as it has been center of several conferences, which are attended by dignitaries from around the world. The old city of Sharm el Maya and its bay called Al Hadaba are part of this city. A number of other bays include Garden Bay, Nabq Bay Tiger Bay, Na'ama Bay and Sharks Bay.
