TSI Team Familiarization (FAM) Trip Report
Delhi - Hill Fort Kesroli - Sariska Tiger Reserve
Travel Dates: 26th - 27th June 2026
Objective
The
objective of the Familiarization (FAM) trip was to provide the team with
firsthand knowledge of the destination, wildlife experiences, and accommodation
options in and around Sariska, enabling us to better promote the region to our
clients.
Journey
The
team assembled at the Jasola office at 06:00 hrs and departed at 06:20 hrs by
AC Mini Coach. The journey to Neemrana was smooth and comfortable, with good
road conditions. The coach was clean, well-maintained, and driven by a
courteous and professional driver.
Hill Fort Kesroli – Neemrana Hotels
We reached Hill Fort Kesroli at approximately 09:00 hrs and were warmly welcomed with refreshments, followed by breakfast and a hotel inspection.
Hill Fort Kesroli is a beautifully restored 14th-century heritage fort offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The property features heritage-style rooms, landscaped gardens, a terrace swimming pool, spa, and charming courtyards, while retaining its original architectural character.
The
rooms are tastefully furnished in keeping with the heritage ambience, and the
overall maintenance of the property is excellent. It is an ideal choice for
heritage enthusiasts, weekend getaways, couples, and international leisure
travellers.
Sariska Tiger Reserve
After
the inspection, we proceeded to Sariska Tiger Reserve, located amidst the
Aravalli Hills of Rajasthan. Spread over approximately 881 sq. km., the reserve
is home to tigers, leopards, hyenas, sambar, chital, wild boar, jungle cats,
and over 220 species of birds, making it one of Rajasthan's important wildlife
destinations.
Sariska Safari Lodge
We arrived at Sariska Safari Lodge around 12:00 hrs and were welcomed with refreshing drinks and cold towels. After lunch, we inspected the property before leaving for the safari.
The lodge is a well-maintained boutique eco-friendly property located close to the reserve. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable with large bathrooms. The food served throughout our stay was excellent, and the staff members were courteous, attentive, and professional.
Overall,
the lodge is highly recommended for wildlife enthusiasts, families, FITs, and
groups.
Safari Experience
The afternoon safari was conducted in a 20-seater Canter and lasted approximately three hours. Our Naturalist was knowledgeable and provided valuable insights into the flora, fauna, and conservation efforts within the reserve.
Although tiger sightings are never guaranteed, we spotted Sambar Deer, Chital (Spotted Deer), Rufous-tailed Hare, and several bird species including Indian Peacock, Juvenile Black Drongo, and Red-wattled Lapwing.
The
forest landscape itself was beautiful and made the safari enjoyable. However,
for international FIT clients, Jeep Safaris are recommended as they generally
provide better wildlife viewing opportunities.
Evening Activities
In
the evening, the lodge organised a short documentary on Sariska Tiger Reserve,
followed by games, music, singing, snacks, drinks, and dinner. The session was
informative and enjoyable and provided an excellent team-building experience.
Return Journey
The
following morning, the team checked out and returned to Delhi via Siliserh
Lake, where lunch was arranged. We reached Delhi at approximately 18:00 hrs
with wonderful memories of the trip.
Operational Observations
Transportation: Comfortable AC Mini Coach with a professional driver.
Road Conditions: Good from Delhi to Kesroli; however, the road from Kesroli to Sariska is very bad and broken and requires improvement.
Weather: Extremely hot during our visit.
The ideal season for Sariska is October to April.
Recommendations
Conclusion
The Familiarization Trip was well organised and highly informative. It provided valuable exposure to the destination, accommodation, wildlife, and operational aspects of the region. Overall, Sariska offers an attractive combination of wildlife, heritage, and nature, making it an excellent extension from Delhi or Jaipur for both domestic and international travellers.
