FAM Report Of Trip To Tribal Tour Of Orissa 02 – 10 May 2026

I recently conducted a FAM tour TO TRIBAL TOUR OF ORISSA  covering Bhubaneshwar, Puri, Gopalpur, Baliguda, Raygada- Chatikona-Jeypore – Onkudelli – Similiguda – Kunduli –Jagdalpur -Kanker - Kawardha  ( Kabirdham) - Bhoramdeo – Shivrinarayan & Raipur.  The purpose of the trip was to evaluate destination strength, hotel’s quality, routing, experiences, practical suitability for different client profiles at the time of preparing itinerary/quotation.

Please find below the report of my FAM trip to the Tribal Tour of Orissa conducted from 02 – 10 May 2026.

The journey provided an excellent opportunity to explore the rich tribal culture of Eastern Orissa, traditional villages, colorful weekly market, ancient Konark Sun temple, Lingaraj Temple 0f Bhubaneswar, Jagannath Temple and beaches.  

Road Conditions

Overall, road conditions between Bhubaneswar–Konark–Puri, Bhubaneswar–Baliguda, Rayagada–Jeypore, Jeypore–Jagdalpur, and Jagdalpur–Raipur are well-maintained national and state highways. However village excursions involve narrow roads/ rough patches & coach can’t reach till the villages.

Weather: May is hot and dry, daytime temperatures between 35°C and 45°C. Coastal areas, Puri and Konark are slightly moderated by sea breezes. The best time to visit from October to March.

Midway facilities: There’s no midway facilities available in the tribal regions, during long drives, restroom breaks are generally arranged at petrol pumps/fuel stations en route. It is advisable to arrange packed meals or picnic lunches from the hotels for longer journeys.

The hotels across the tribal circuit offer basic facilities and do not have amenities like bars, swimming pools, spas, or wellness centres. Travellers should moderate their expectations regarding luxury facilities while traveling through these remote regions, where the focus is primarily on cultural experiences and authentic tribal interactions.

Mobile connectivity is limited in many tribal regions. Jio and BSNL networks has the best coverage. Please always ask tour operator/vendor to arrange a Wi-Fi dongle in the vehicle for communication throughout the tour.

Photography during Tribal Visits

Many tribal people request a photography fee (approx. INR 100–150 or more). It is advisable to carry small denomination currency notes for this purpose.

People/group/travellers are advised to respect local customs and avoid photographing people without their consent.

01: Lemon Tree Premier, Bhubaneswar

Total Rooms: 76 (Deluxe Rooms, Executive Rooms, Premier Suites and 01 specially designed room for differently abled guests. Twin bed option is available in Deluxe category, while Executive Rooms are primarily with king beds.

Room Amenities: Elegant rooms equipped with Tea/Coffee maker, LED/LCD TV with DTH services, electronic safe, minibar, high-speed Wi-Fi, work desk, telephone, premium bathroom amenities and well-appointed bathrooms with shower cubicles. Suites additionally feature separate living areas and bathtubs.

Hotel Amenities: Multiple dining options including Citrus Café – a multi-cuisine restaurant, Republic of Noodles – a Pan-Asian specialty restaurant, and Slounge bar. swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, banquet halls, conference facilities, business centre.

Remarks: A modern medium hotel conveniently located in the Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar, hotel staff was very professional & well groomed. We can use this hotel considering 4* property.

2: Swosti Premium

Total Rooms : 147 (Premium, Club Rooms, Elite Rooms, Executive Suites and Family Suites). Twin bedded rooms are available in Premium category.

Room Amenities: Elegantly designed rooms equipped with LED television, Tea/Coffee maker, minibar, electronic safe, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, telephone, work desk, wardrobe and attached bathrooms with separate shower area. Additional facilities include bathrobes, hair dryer.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers multiple dining venues including “The Gourmet” multi-cuisine restaurant, “Nirvana” lounge bar and “Brown N Cream” bakery shop. one largest swimming pool, spa & wellness center, health club, business center, travel desk, valet parking, 08 banquet halls.

Remarks: The hotel is well known for its extensive banqueting and convention facilities, good choice for conferences, and corporate events. This hotel is always busy with corporate & weddings, hence we should avoid using for leisure clients due to noise of events.

03: MAYFAIR Lagoon, Bhubaneswar

Total Rooms: 99 (Elegantly designed multiple categories rooms, cottages, suites, villas, Club Rooms, Executive Cottages (Garden View & Lagoon View), Executive Suites, Deluxe Suites, Regent Villa and Royal Villa. Twin bedded accommodation is available in selected Club Rooms and Executive Cottages, suites and villas provide spacious living areas suitable for families, VIP guests and long stays.

Room Amenities: Well-appointed rooms equipped with LED Smart TV, Tea/Coffee maker, complimentary Wi-Fi, electronic safe, minibar, spacious bathrooms with premium toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer. Most room categories feature attached balconies overlooking landscaped gardens or lagoon views, suites and villas offer separate living areas and private dip pools.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel features multiple specialty restaurants and bars, Indian and international cuisine, bakery and lounge options. A large swimming pool, spa & wellness centre, fitness centre, beautifully landscaped gardens, banquet halls, conference facilities, business centre Wi-Fi.

Remarks: A top luxurious resort-style property in the city, spread lush greenery and tranquil lagoons. Its refined interiors and excellent dining facilities. It highly suitable for leisure travelers and high-end VIP movements.

04 Hotel Hindusthan International Bhubaneswar

Total Rooms: 104 (Executive, Deluxe, Premium Rooms), The hotel has 2 blocks A & B, block B is behind of main building. Always use rooms in main building.

Room Amenities: Rooms okay nothing special, Wi-Fi connectivity, LED/LCD television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, toiletries and modern bathrooms with four-fixture fittings.

Hotel Amenities: Multiple dining venues including Flavours – all day multi-cuisine restaurant, lounge bar, swimming pool, fitness centre, banquet halls.

Remarks: It’s 3* hotel, convenient access to airport and railway station. Nothing special and can use for corporate movement and avoid using for leisure clients.

05: FORTUNE PARK SISHMO, BHUBANESWAR

Total Rooms: 71 (Premium, Premium Club, Premium Suites & presidential suite. Twin bed option is available in Premium Club room categories and extra bed can be accommodated in most of all the rooms.

Room Amenities: Rooms are very well maintained with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, work desk, toiletries and modern bathrooms.

Hotel Amenities: Multiple dining venues including Orchid – multi cuisine restaurant, Oriental Pavilion – Chinese & Thai specialty restaurant, Neptune Bar & Lounge and Fortune Deli. A small rooftop swimming pool, fitness center, spa.

Remarks: Centrally located hotel under Fortune/ITC group. It’s suitable for corporate & leisure movements. The property is more business-oriented than leisure focused.

06: Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels, Bhubaneswar

Total Rooms: 107 (Deluxe Rooms, Superior Rooms, Club Rooms, Junior Suites and Executive Suites). Twin bed option is available in Deluxe and Superior room categories, extra bed can be accommodated in most of the rooms. The rooms are spacious with contemporary interiors and are suitable for both individual & group movements.

Room Amenities: Rooms are very well maintained with modern facilities including high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, Smart LED television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, spacious work desk, ironing facilities, premium bedding, wardrobe space and modern bathrooms with quality toiletries, bathrobes, hair dryer and walk-in shower facilities.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers multiple dining venues including WelcomCafe Eclectica – all-day multi cuisine restaurant, Kebabs & Kurries – signature Indian specialty restaurant, Swizzle Bar and Sunbean Café. swimming pool, spa & wellness center, modern fitness center, banquet halls, conference rooms.

Remarks: its 5* modern property, situated in upcoming industrial area.  The hotel is highly suitable for corporate movements, MICE & corporate groups. Overall, the hotel provides a comfortable stay experience with professional services and modern infrastructure.

07: Vivanta Bhubaneswar, DN Square

Total Rooms: 136 (Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Premium Rooms, Executive Suites and Luxury Suites). extra bed can be accommodated in most of the rooms.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious with modern facilities including high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, LED Smart television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, work desk, premium bedding, modern bathrooms with quality toiletries, bathrobes and hair dryer.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers multiple dining options including Mynt – all-day dining restaurant, Wink – stylish lounge bar and Swirl café, a rooftop swimming pool, modern fitness center, spa facilities, banquet halls, meeting rooms and business center services.

Remarks: It’s 5* modern business hotel, situated in commercial hubs. The property is highly suitable for corporate movements, MICE groups.

The ranking of the Bhubaneswar hotels as per my observation, from best to lowest. 

PURI

Puri is one of the holiest pilgrimage places in Odisha, India, with religious life revolving around the great Jagannath Mandir and its famous Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival). The town’s other attraction is its long sandy beach.

Hotels visited in Puri:

1: Pramod Convention & Beach Resort, Puri

Total Rooms: 30 (Queen’s Court Rooms, King’s Court Rooms, Family Rooms and Family Executive Rooms). Twin bed option is only in family rooms and extra bed can be accommodated in King & courts room categories. The rooms are spacious and suitable for leisure travellers, and small group movements.

Room Amenities: Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, in-room safe, work desk, wardrobe space and modern bathrooms with quality toiletries. King’s Court Rooms offer direct swimming pool access, private sit-out areas.

Hotel Amenities: The resort has a Smoke House – multi cuisine restaurant, Courtyard Coffee Shop and Maikhana Bar. Outdoor swimming pool and beachside ambience suitable for leisure stays and social gatherings.

Remarks: I was stayed here in King’s Court Rooms, it’s offer direct swimming pool access, private sit-out areas. It’s Beachfront resort ( beach is on walking distance). The property offers relaxed ambience with decent recreational facilities Overall, the resort provides a comfortable stay experience with good food options and a pleasant coastal atmosphere.

02: Mayfair Heritage and Mayfair Waves are twin properties located right next to each other- Shared Amenities: Because they operate under the same management and are separated only by a private alley, guests can use the swimming pools, spas, and restaurants at both properties

Total Rooms: 34 in each property ( Total 68 rooms in both), Deluxe Rooms, Deluxe Cottages, Sea View Cottages, Heritage Premium Rooms, Deluxe Suite and Family Suites. extra bed can be accommodated in most of the rooms. The property offers a boutique resort experience with spacious accommodations overlooking landscaped gardens and sea-facing areas.

Room Amenities: Rooms and cottages are elegantly designed with a blend of traditional Odia architecture and modern comforts. All the rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, work desk, wardrobe space and modern bathrooms with premium toiletries, bathrobes and hair dryer facilities. Sea View Cottages and Family Suites offer larger living spaces with private sit-out areas.

Hotel Amenities: The resort features multiple dining venues including Verandah – all-day dining restaurant, 2 States by Kanika – specialty restaurant serving regional cuisine and an in-house lounge bar. outdoor swimming pools, fitness center, spa & wellness facilities,  landscaped lawns, children’s play area and direct beach access ambience. It’s suitable for leisure small groups, FIT and high-profile guests.

Remarks: Premium heritage-style beachfront resort .Conveniently located on Chakra Tirtha Road with close proximity to Jagannath Temple. Overall, the property offers a comfortable luxury stay experience.

3: Pride Ananya Resort, Puri

Total Rooms: 87 : (Deluxe Twin Rooms, Deluxe King Rooms, Super Deluxe Rooms, Premium Twin Rooms, Premium Family Rooms, Executive Suites and Luxury Suites. Twin bed option is available in Deluxe Twin and Premium Twin categories, extra bed can be accommodated in all rooms categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are okay but not clean and very poor maintenance. Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, tea/coffee maker, swimming pool and business center facilities.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has a dining venues Swaad – multi cuisine restaurant & bar. banquet halls.

Remarks: This is city hotel and faraway from the beach, the rooms are very dark with a musty smell, washrooms are not properly maintained, and the flooring appears faded and worn out. Please don’t offer this hotel for any of the clients ( Domestic/inbound) due to poor maintenance.

4: Swosti Premium Beach Resorts

Total Rooms: 125 (Sea View Rooms – Front View, Sea View Rooms – Side View, Premium Rooms, Inter-connecting Rooms, Oasis Suite, Intimate Escape Suite, Imperial Suite and Royal Ambassador Suite. Twin bed option is available in Sea View and Inter-connecting room categories, while extra bed can be accommodated in most of the room categories.)

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious, modern and well maintained with sea-facing balconies in selected categories. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, 52-inch LED television, tea/coffee maker, minibar, electronic safe, bathrobes, toiletries, hair dryer and modern bathrooms with rain shower cubicles. Suites are very spacious and suitable for premium clientele.

Hotel Amenities: The resort offers multiple dining venues including Beach Hut, Saltwater, Bean Hive and Brown N Cream. Other facilities include swimming pool, wellness & spa, fitness centre, business centre, banquet halls, landscaped lawns, kids & adults gaming zones, travel desk and conference/wedding facilities. The property is located on New Marine Drive Road with direct beach access.

Remarks: It’s one of the newest and well-maintained beach resorts, modern infrastructure and spacious rooms. The property is suitable for both domestic and inbound. Food quality, ambience and overall upkeep are good. Recommended for leisure and conference groups/FIT.

5: Taj Puri Resort & Spa, Odisha

Total Rooms: 90 (Superior Sea View Rooms – King & Twin Bed with Balcony, Deluxe Sea View Rooms – King & Twin Bed with Balcony, Luxury Sea View Rooms, Grand Luxury Rooms with Plunge Pool, Luxury Suites, Executive Suites, Premium Suites and Presidential Sea View Suite with Private Pool. Twin bed option is available in Superior, Deluxe and Luxury categories, extra bed can be accommodated in most of the room categories.)

Room Amenities: Rooms are luxurious designed with inspired by Kalinga architecture. All rooms feature Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with premium channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, premium bedding, work desk, bath amenities, hair dryer and modern bathrooms with bathtub/shower cubicles offer separate living areas, butler service and private plunge pool options in selected categories.

Hotel Amenities: The resort has  an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant Odia & Asian cuisine and a poolside bar. swimming pool, J Wellness Circle Spa, fitness centre, banquet halls, conference facilities, landscaped lawns, kids play area, EV charging station, direct beach access.

Remarks: One of the newest deluxe beachfront resorts in Puri with excellent ambience, premium interiors and high service standards. The property is very well suited for luxury domestic and inbound clientele, FITs, honeymooners and premium leisure groups. Spacious sea-facing rooms. Highly recommended for premium clients and high-end conferences/incentive groups.

6: Regenta Central Puri Odisha

Total Rooms: 55 (Deluxe Double Rooms with Balcony Sea View, Deluxe Twin Rooms with Balcony Sea View, Executive Double Rooms with Balcony Sea View, Executive Twin Rooms with Balcony Sea View and Premium Rooms with Balcony Sea View. Twin bed option is available in Deluxe Twin and Executive Twin categories, extra bed can be accommodated in All of the room categories.)

Room Amenities: Rooms are fine well maintained, balconies offers partial or direct sea views. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, smart LED television with satellite channels, tea/coffee maker, minibar modern bathrooms with rain shower facilities. Premium Rooms are comparatively more spacious and suitable for premium FIT clients.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers an all-day dining restaurant, swimming pool. The property is located on New Marine Drive Road.

Remarks: Mid-scale property under Royal Orchid Hotels with good location advantage near Golden Beach. Suitable for domestic leisure groups, FITs and pilgrimage tourists looking for a clean beachfront stay at moderate pricing. Recommended for budget clients.

7: Fortune Beachfront, Puri

Total Rooms: 63 (Deluxe Rooms, Garden View Rooms, Premium Sea View Rooms, Seafront Rooms, Seafront Rooms with Private Sitout and Premium Suites. Twin bed option is available in Deluxe, Garden View and Premium Sea View categories, extra bed can be accommodated in most of the room categories.)

Room Amenities: Rooms are modern and well maintained. Most rooms offer garden, partial sea ,private sit-out options in higher categories. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, premium bedding, toiletries, hair dryer and modern bathrooms with rain shower facilities.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers three dining outlets including Zodiac (all-day dining restaurant), Sea & Spice specialty restaurant and Fortune Deli. Swimming pool, spa, fitness center, banquet facilities, landscaped lawns,. The property is located at New Marine Drive Road.

Remarks: Seafront categories are recommended for premium FITs and leisure travelers. Also suitable for leisure small groups.. Recommended for upper mid-scale and premium clients.

The ranking of the Bhubaneswar hotels as per my observation, from best to lowest. 

1: Mayfair Palm Beach Resort Gopalpur

Total Rooms: 141 (Executive Rooms, Ocean View Rooms, Deluxe Sea View Rooms, Family Rooms, Premium Rooms, Family Suites, Executive Suites, and Presidential Villa. Twin bed option is available in Executive Room categories, extra bed can be accommodated in most of the room categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious, luxurious and designed with colonial-style interiors. Most of the rooms feature private balconies with garden, pool or direct sea views. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, tea/coffee maker, minibar, electronic safe, work desk, premium toiletries and modern bathrooms with bathtub facilities in selected categories. Suites and Villas offer separate living areas, private dip pools.  Highly recommended for premium FITs, honeymooners and luxury clients.

Hotel Amenities: The resort offers multiple dining venues, bar lounges, swimming pool, spa & wellness centre, fitness centre, banquet and conference facilities, landscaped lawns, children’s activity area and direct beach access. The property is located on Gopalpur-on-Sea beach and is one of the most prominent luxury beachfront resorts in Puri with extensive open spaces and heritage-style architecture.

Remarks: Premium luxury beachfront resort, greenery and spacious layouts. Public areas are exceptionally well maintained. Suitable for luxury groups/FIT and upscale family holidays. One of the finest resort option in Gopalpur

2- Pramod Lands End Resort, a member of Radisson Individuals

Total Rooms: 98 (Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Family Rooms, Premium Rooms, Premium Suites, Royal Suites and Grand Royal Villas. Twin bed option is available in Superior & deluxe room categories, extra bed can be accommodated in most of the room categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious, modern and premium furnishings. Most rooms offer private balconies with pool, garden or sea-facing views. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television with satellite channels, tea/coffee maker, minibar, electronic safe, premium toiletries, modern bathrooms with high-quality fittings. Suites and Villas are highly spacious with separate living areas and are suitable for premium FITs, honeymooners and luxury clients.

Hotel Amenities: The resort offers all-day dining restaurant “The Khao Galli”, bar lounge, spa & wellness centre, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, games zone, kids’ club, banquet halls, conference facilities and direct private beach access.

Remarks: Premium beachfront resort under Radisson Individuals with excellent location and modern resort. Public areas, landscaping and rooms are very well maintained with good overall service standards. Suitable for luxury FITs, family holidays. This is the 2^nd best resort option in Gopalpur.

03: Zone by The Park Gopalpur

Total Rooms: 40 (Zone Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Suites. Twin bed option is available in Deluxe Room categories, extra bed can be accommodated in all of the room categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are modern with contemporary interiors and functional layouts. Deluxe Rooms and Suites feature attached balconies with lake or surrounding views. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, smart LED television, minibar, tea/coffee maker, electronic safe, work desk and modern bathrooms with shower facilities.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel offers all-day dining restaurant “Bazaar”, rooftop grill restaurant “Urban Spice Box”, Z-Bar lounge, swimming pool, spa, banquet halls, conference facilities and landscaped lawns for social events. The property is located close to Gopalpur Beach.

Remarks: Rooms are comfortable and well maintained . Suitable for inbound leisure small groups, FITs and small corporate movements. Good option in Gopalpur for clients looking for a modern resort-style stay.

04: Swosti Palm Resort, Gopalpur.

Before its conversion to a Swosti palm hotel, It was a private guest house owned by the Tata Group.

Total Rooms: 59 (Standard Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Suites. Twin bed option is available in Standard & Deluxe Room categories, extra bed can be accommodated in all of the room categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are basic & old.  Wi-Fi service, LED television air-conditioning are there . Bathrooms are basic and standard fittings and hot/cold water facilities. No toiletries in the rooms.

Hotel Amenities: The House has a small Lighthouse multi-cuisine restaurant specializing in seafood and local cuisine.

Remarks: The property is too old and poorly maintained, wash rooms and rooms are very basic. I didn’t find toiletries in the room allocate for me. We could consider for budget domestic leisure groups, student groups. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for inbound movement at all.

The ranking of the Gopalpur hotels as per my observation, from best to lowest. 

BALLIGUDA

Balliguda is a small town located in the Balliguda district of Odisha. The town is surrounded by dense forests, rolling hills, and agricultural landscapes. The town is renowned for its vibrant tribal culture, colorful festivals, traditional handicrafts, and weekly markets (haats), where local communities congregate to trade agricultural produce, forest products, and other indigenous goods.

01. Hotel Bivab, Balliguda

This is one of the better accommodation options available in Balliguda The property is located in Acharya Colony and offers basic facilities suitable for transit movements only.

Total Rooms: 17 rooms (Premier room, Privilege rooms & Wonder suite rooms). Most rooms are equipped with double beds. There’s a small headboard, hence king bed can easily be separated into two twin beds

Room Amenities: Rooms are basic but reasonably spacious with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, small LED television, and attached bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities. Basic toiletries, mineral water and room service facilities are available.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has an in-house “Wonder Restaurant” serving basic Indian, local Odia cuisine. elevator access, room service, power backup is there. Staff behaviour is generally cooperative and supportive.

Remarks: It’s best home stay (no star hotel) in the town considering the remote location of Balliguda, this property can be considered one of the acceptable stay options for transit movements only. overall standards remain basic and maintenance needs improvement in several areas, especially washrooms & public area.

 RAYAGADA

Rayagada, is located in the southern part of Odisha. The region is known for its colorful tribal markets (haats), where tribal communities gather to trade agricultural produce, forest products, handicrafts, livestock, and household goods. These markets provide a unique insight into the traditional lifestyles and social interactions of the local tribes.

 Hotels visited in Rayagada

1- Hotel Sai International.

Total Rooms: 39 (Deluxe Rooms and suite  Room categories). Most rooms are equipped with king-size beds, Extra bed can be accommodated in all room categories.

Room Amenities: Rooms are basic to average in size with standard interiors and functional furniture. The air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television, attached bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities. Basic toiletries, the rooms require refurbishment and better housekeeping standards.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has an in-house restaurant serving Indian and basic Chinese cuisine. This is only the hotel in the town have BAR. The food is very good.  

Remarks: Half of the room given on lease for a corporate company for 5 years. The remaining rooms are very basic and poorly maintained, wash rooms are dirty. I would not recommend the property for any of our clients.

2: Hotel Lotus Paradise, Rayagada

Hotel Lotus Paradise is a mid-scale budget hotel located in New Colony, Rayagada, conveniently close to the railway station and main market area. The property caters primarily to domestic business travelers, transit guests and small leisure groups visiting Southern Odisha.

Remarks: It’s a budget/3* hotel. Considering the limited accommodation options available in Rayagada, the property can be considered. Overall standards remain basic, washrooms and housekeeping, require improvement. I would not recommend it for premium inbound movements or luxury travelers. Mini coach can’t reach until hotel, however Tempo traveller can easily reach at main porch.

Remarks: This is one of the best available stay options in the city. Overall maintenance and hospitality standards are satisfactory.

Jeypore is one of the principal commercial and cultural centers of southern Odisha. Remarks: It good 3* hotel this property can be considered one of the 2^nd best options in the city. The hotel is suitable for domestic & inbound travellers.

2: The Balkrishna Palace, Jeypore

Total Rooms: Approximately 24 rooms (Palace Rooms, Executive Rooms, The Royal room and Suite categories). Most rooms are king-size beds, while limited twin bed ( just 03 rooms) available. Extra bed facility can be accommodated in all the rooms.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious with traditional interiors reflecting heritage-style architecture. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television, tea/coffee maker and attached bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities. Basic toiletries and room service facilities are available.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has an in-house multi-cuisine restaurant serving Indian, Chinese and local Odia cuisine. A nice Baar on top floor. Staff behavior is courteous and supportive.

Remarks: This is the best hotel in the Jeypore city. The heritage ambience provide a better overall experience compared to standard budget hotels in the city.  I would recommend the property for inbound movements with moderate expectations.

3: Hotel Signature, Jeypore

Total Rooms: 36 rooms (Executive Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Suite categories). Twin bed options are available in executive room category.

Room Amenities: Rooms & wash room of DLX & Executive rooms are just okay. air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television, and attached bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has an in-house restaurant serving Indian, Chinese and local cuisine. elevator access, power backup, laundry service.

Remarks: This is for pure domestic movement. I wouldn’t recommend to use this hotel for Inbound clients.

The ranking of the JEYPORE HOTELS as per my observation, from best to lowest. 

1: Hotel Imperial Inn & Hotel Imperial Blue, Semiliguda

Total Rooms: 31 rooms Inn & 21 Rooms at Blue (Executive Rooms, Superior Rooms, Premier rooms, Club rooms and Suite categories). Twin & double bed rooms options are there.

Room Amenities: Rooms are special & very clean with modern functional interiors. Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity, LED television, and attached bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities. Basic toiletries and room service facilities are available.

Hotel Amenities: The hotel has an in-house restaurant serving Indian, Chinese and local cuisine. Power backup, banquet/meeting facilities for small gatherings, laundry support.

Remarks: This is the best hotel in the Semiliguda. Staff & services are perfect. We can use this hotel for inbound clients.

Remarks: At present this is the best hotels in Jagdalpur with very good room quality and modern infrastructure. Staff behaviour and hospitality are good. Suitable for inbound groups, FIT clients considering the comfort level, cleanliness and available facilities.

2: Bastar Jungle Resort, Jagdalpur

Total Rooms: 11 Rooms (Deluxe Rooms and Cottage categories).

Room Amenities: Rooms and cottages are built in traditional Chhattisgarh style with simple comfortable interiors surrounded by natural forest environment. Remarks: Bastar Jungle Resort is located amidst natural surroundings & approx. 15 kilometer away from the city crowd and offers a peaceful jungle stay experience. Suitable for nature lovers, inbound leisure small groups and experiential travelers looking for a rustic forest stay.

1: Bafna Resort, Kanker

Remarks: The rooms & wash rooms are very basic, require immediate maintenance. The property is located just 500 Meter from the famous Bhoramdeo Temple. This was the only hotel available in the town and was widely utilized by inbound tour operators for their clients. However, a new resort is added in 2022, located approximately 300 meters from the temple, offering better accommodation option and should be considered the preferred choice.

3. Takshak Eco Farms, Bhoramdeo

Total Rooms: 07 Rooms ( 05 spacious cottages and 02 suite rooms designed in eco-friendly wilderness homestay style accommodation.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious, clean. All accommodations are equipped with comfortable bedding, attached western-style bathrooms with hot/cold water facilities, seating/veranda area, large windows for natural ventilation and air-conditioning.

Remarks: Takshak Eco Farms is one of the finest eco-friendly experiential stays near Bhoramdeo Temple and Wildlife Sanctuary. The property is highly recommended for leisure travelers, nature lovers, photographers and small special interest groups looking for peaceful countryside and eco-tourism experiences.

Remarks: It’s 3* hotel & the best available options in Sheorinarayan. We must coordinate with hotel in advance & guide them for meals services ( breakfast, dinner or lunch arrangements) about the taste of Foreign clients. We could offer accommodation in Raipur or Bilaspur instead of sheorinarayan but the same day excursion will be very hectic.     

2. Hotel Celebration, Raipur

Total Rooms: 59 (Deluxe Rooms, Superior Rooms and Suite categories) . Double & Twin bed option is available in all rooms categories,  and extra bed facility can be arranged in most of the room.

Room Amenities: Rooms are spacious, comfortable and maintained with modern interiors. Remarks: It’s good 3*++ city center hotel. Rooms, restaurants, services, staff are perfect and we can use this hotel for inbound budget class clients.
