PATA - PM Museum & Library at Teen Murti Bhawan

Mr. Jatinder Tanjea (Managind Director) and Ms. Marina (Inbound & Outbound Tours) attended the PM Museum and Library show organised by PATA on 11th July 2026 (Saturday). MD Sir was one of the organisers from the PATA India Chapter to arrange this visit for the members. The tour was insightful and is highly recommended for clients interested in Indian heritage, particularly clients from the UK who are keen to explore India's historical and democratic evolution.

The group was welcomed by Mr. Ashwani Lohani, Director PMML, EX CMD, Air India, Railway Board and ITDC and his team.

Introduction
During our visit, we toured the Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) at Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi. The museum showcases the lives and contributions of all the Prime Ministers of India through historical exhibits, multimedia displays, and interactive technology, offering an engaging overview of India's democratic journey.

Objective of the Visit
To gain insights into India's democratic and political evolution.
To understand the contributions of the Prime Ministers of India.
To explore historical artifacts and interactive exhibits.
To appreciate India's political and cultural heritage.

Highlights of the Visit
The visit offered an insightful journey through India's democratic history and the contributions of its Prime Ministers. Interactive exhibits, including digital displays and immersive technology, brought key historical moments to life, while rare photographs, personal artifacts, and official documents provided a deeper understanding of their leadership and legacy.

Visit to the Library and Archives
The library houses a rich collection of books, journals, newspapers, manuscripts, photographs, and archival records on modern Indian history. It serves as a valuable research resource for students and scholars, preserving important speeches, documents, and historical records.

Nehru Planetarium Visit
The Nehru Planetarium, located within the Teen Murti complex, offers an engaging introduction to astronomy and space science. Through immersive sky shows and interactive exhibits, it helps visitors understand celestial objects, space exploration, and the wonders of the universe, making it an educational experience for all age groups.

Facilities
The museum is well-maintained and visitor-friendly. It offers English and Hindi audio-visual guided tours, wheelchair accessibility, digital kiosks, a multi cuisine cafeteria, drinking water, lockers, and interactive educational activities. The overall environment is clean, organized, and suitable for clients of all age groups.

Operational Hours/Days/Entry Fees
The Museum operates daily except on Mondays and National holidays.
Opening hours: 10 Am to 06 PM
Entrance Fee: RS.50 (Indians) / Rs. 200 (Foreigners) Duration: 3 to 4 hours

Note: Ideally to see the whole Museum it takes approx. 03 to 04 hours. But, if someone wants to tailor-made they can cut short the tour and can visit the main and most popular ones.

Other Attractions & Special Experiences
The museum comprises of special experiences like Selfie with PM, walk with PM, Suraksha, VR POD (Helicopter Ride), AI Holobox-Ask the Visionaries, Letter from your favourite PM and Light and Sound show (English & Hindi). All these can be experienced at an additional cost.

Forest Table Restaurant
The complex also has a beautiful restaurant that offers a warm, nature-inspired dining experience with a relaxing ambiance and a diverse menu featuring delicious Indian and international cuisine. Liquor is not served and parking is easily available.

Recommendations
PMML is an excellent addition to both FIT and GIT itineraries.
The visit can be customized to focus on the key attractions, allowing clients to complete the experience within approx 2 hours.
This tour can be offered as an optional activity at the end of the itinerary, making it a convenient activity before clients depart for the airport.
We strongly recommend that clients enjoy dinner at Forest Table, located within the premises, before proceeding to the airport even if they are not visiting the museum.
An English audio-visual guide is available and is highly recommended to enhance the overall experience and provide a better understanding of the attractions.
Guests are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes, as the experience involves a considerable amount of walking.
