The museum is located in an impressive castle like building that lies behind the chief central railway station. The periods covered by the museum are from Stone Age to the Roman period and further to the present times. One of the prominent section displays the historical facts and objects related to pre-history. This includes the discovery of wheels that were actually found in Zürich. The museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday, 10.30am-5pm.
