Day 01 Balasore / Similipal Park
When you arrive at the Balasore Railway Station you will be cordially received by our tour representative. You will be next taken to Similipal Park by road. This wildlife reserve was established in 1956 in the Mayurbhanj district of Orissa. It was included as a part of the Project Tiger reserves of India in 1973. The sanctuary sprawls over 2750 sq.km. Stay at the Forest Lodge and spend night here.
Day 02 Similipal Park
On the 2nd day of Wildlife Tour of Orissa you will extensively tour the Similipal National Park where you will find varied landform comprising of hills, waterfalls etc. There are as many as 95 tigers and variety of other wild species here residing in the dense vegetation. Apart from the tigers other animals like elephants, deer, leopards, gaur bison, sloth bears, reptiles, langurs, crocodiles and over 200 species of bird are found here. You will also visit the magnificent Barehipani waterfall, plunging from a height of 400m and the Joranda waterfall, cascading down from a height of 150 m. Night is spent at the Forest Lodge.
Day 03 Similipal Park
You will spend the entire day touring the Simlipal National park. Here there is a central area of about 850 sq km, where majority of the tigers dwell. Though visitors are not allowed here ,sometimes one is lucky to spot a tiger which has wandered far away. The wild animals which you can spot here are elephants, monkeys, deer and birds as well as crocodile at the maggar center. Simlipal has as many as 82 species of orchids. Night is spent at the Forest Lodge .
Day 04 Bhadrak/Chandbali/Dangamal
On the 4th day of Wildlife Tour of Orissa you will drive to Bhadrak. Then from there we leave for Chandbali which is at a distance of 42 km by jeep. From this place the real adventure starts . You will enjoy an enchanting motorboat cruise to reach the island of Dangamal. Night is spent at the Forest Rest House.
Day 05 Bhadrak/Chandbali/Dangamal /Bhitarkanika Sanctuary
Have an early breakfast and then we will leave for the Bhitarkanika Sanctuary. This wildlife sanctuary covers an area of 670 Sq. Km. with mangrove forests found along the Bay of Bengal. Here there is a crocodile sanctuary. You will surely love the exciting boat rides inside the Sanctuary. Then discover the nesting sites of the rare Olive Ridley Turtle on the beaches. Night is spent at the forest lodge.
Day 06 Bhitarkanika Sanctuary/ Bhubaneswar
In the morning you will travel to Bhubaneswar . On your way you will visit Ratnagiri, Lalitgiri & Udaigiri. These are three-hilltop complexes about 100km from Bhubaneswa known for its Buddhist relics and ruins . They are part of the mini golden triangle of Buddhist heritage in Orissa. At Lalitgiri there is a gold casket which is believed to contain the relics of the Buddha. Udaigiri has a monastery and a brick stupa while Ratnagiri attracts tourist with its extensive ruins of two huge monasteries .
Day 07 Bhubaneswar-Departure
Today on the last day of Wildlife Tour of Orissa you will leave Bhubaneshwar and start your journey back home with memories to be cherished for a long time.
