 India is a land of different caste and creed and is known as a land of celebration as there are numerous fairs and festivals in India.In different states of India different festivals are celebrated. Pushkar fair is the most renowned fair in Rajasthan. This fair is organized on the eve of Kartik Purnima when thousands of people from different parts of the country come to take bath in the holy water of Pushkar Lake. Gangasagar fair is one of the most religious fair of Hindus. It is regarded as one of the most famous fairs and festivals in India. This fair is held in West Bengal at the place where river Ganga mingles with the sea. People who travel to Kolkata usually take part in this fair as well. It is a most crowded fair. So whenever you plan to join this fair be cautious of your possessions and other belongings.
The celebrations in India continue year long. Diwali is a festival of light and merriment. This is celebrated in the month of September or October. It is celebrated because hundred years ago Lord Ram returned from jungle after 14 years of exile. This festival finds important place among other fairs and festivals in India.
