The fresh seafood and comfortable village hotels are the attractions of Anjuna beach that appeal most to the tourists. The other attractions of the beach include semi open-air palm thatched huts as well as fruits like watermelons, coconuts and pineapples.

Bogmalo Beach

Another addition in the basket of Goa's beaches is the Bogmalo beach. The most interesting part of the Bogmalo beach is that it is a perfect combination of serene beauty and commercial value. Owing to its exotic beauty, the beach has gained the reputation of being one of the most happening beaches in Goa. The major attractions of the place include the calm and captivating beauty of the beach, its potential of being a swimming paradise and its delectable cuisine.

Palolem Beach

Located about 3 km away from the railway junction of Canacona, Palolem Beach is another major attraction of Goa. Palolem beach with its stretches of white sand, very easily captivates the attention of any tourist on a visit to Goa. The village that is situated near the beach offers all kinds of luxury to the visitors to the beach, ranging from comfortable accommodations and cafes to the souvenir shops. One can also enjoy sighting some dolphins playing in the waters of the beach; which remain one of the major attractions for the tourists.

Agonda Beach

Agonda beach is an exquisite beach, covered with white sand and palm trees. The beach is not cluttered with shops, stalls or any other commercial place, and its serenity adds to its tourist appeal. However, the beach is not that easily accessible, as it is only slightly far from the main road, and thus finding the right transport to reach the place is not that easy.

Dona Paula

This beach is considered haunted by the locals, but that doesn't prevent it from being hunted down by the tourists. The beach is named after Dona Paula, who committed suicide here after her father refused to give her the permission to marry her lover. It is believed that she again emerges on a moonlit night...In fact, Dona Paula beach's haunted status has infused the hues of myth and folklore, and added to its tourism potential. But even if you are not so eager to see Dona Paula, rising from the shimmering waves on a moonlit night, you can easily indulge in a number of water sports options that the beach offers. Wind surfing, para sailing, water-skiing, snorkelling, motorboat rides...you name it Dona Paula has it. Just in the vicinity are the National Oceanography Institute, where you can satisfy your interest for marine biology, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary; a bird watcher's paradise of sorts.

The ambiance of the Benaulim beach not only resonates with the waves of the azure blue waters of the Arabian sea, but also millennia-old myths. It is believed that precisely here the Parashuram's arrow landed to create Goa.... for the eternity to savor. But even if we brush aside the myth, this serene beach, dotted with only a few resorts and hotels, is worth exploring for all varieties of nature lovers. It gives you the much needed privacy, where you can dwell into the beauty of the natural surroundings, and also within yourself. Simply loll on the beach with a beer, and see the orange ball drown itself into the vast expanse of waters... and your day will be made. The crystal clean Cavelossim beach of soft white sands is interspersed with black lava rock formations. If that is inducing you to visit it, then the fact that its numerous beach shacks offer delectable and spicy Goan sea food is likely to tempt you further. Here, besides the usual , you can enjoy the bonus of dolphin-watching at night. Go for a night boat ride excursion to view these intelligent creatures in their wild glory. If you are more lucky, you can touch them too.

Colva Beach

Besides the ethereal natural beauty that it offers, the Colva beach is also ideal for watching a day in the lives of fishermen. You can even ask one of the fishermen to give you a trip in his boat, and chances are that he will oblige. It is your chance to sail into nowhere... However, despite the crowd of fishermen, the assorted shops, the thronging tourists, and the clutter of hotels and restaurants, the ambiance at Colva beach manages to maintain its serenity. The shops and most of the tourists are seen in one end of the beach, but if you walk down to the other hand, you will distinctly hear the wind breeze past you and create a strange sonata, along with the crushing of waves.

Arambol Beach

Despite its remote geography, Arambol beach's tourism potential is awesome, which is amply attested by frequent year round tourist inflows. However, as the beach doesn't have many hotels and resorts in the vicinity, a day-time visit to Arambol would be more preferable. If you walk down the beach, you will come across some fresh water pools. The mud near the pools is believed to have medicinal properties. So when at Arambol beach, don't forget to treat yourself to a mudbath.

Baga Beach

The 30 km long Baga beach on the west coast of Goa is ideal for a variety of water sports options. If it is a Saturday, you can explore a flea market for which Baga beach is famous. After a session of water sports, do frequent the beach shacks too, to savor the delicious Goan food and take swigs of feni. And then just laze on the beach...and see how the Arabian sea before you turns into waves of feni... This is a much-needed leisure, for you must rejuvenate yourself to enjoy the foot tapping and swinging night life that the Baga beach has to offer.

Calangute Beach

Just close to the day-time solitude of Baga, you can visit the crowded Calangute. Probably the most crowded beach of Goa, it possibly also boasts of the best restaurants in Goa. The road from Baga to Calangute can embark you on an exotic gastronomic trip of sorts, as the roads are cluttered with restaurants, serving all varieties of cuisines. But if you over indulge yourself, you may not feel to have a go at the varied water sports options that Calangute beach offers in the afternoon. Parasailing, water skiing and wind surfing are only some of the assorted adventures that Calangute has on its sand plate.

Vagator Beach

Just two kilometers away from the Anjuna beach, the white sandy beach of Vagator, dotted with coconut and palm trees, welcomes you with its laid back charm. Besides the beach, you can also explore the sleepy village by the beach and visit the Chapora Fort, which was build by Adil Shah of Bijapur. The sleepy village with leafy lanes has a number of bungalows, which date back to the Portuguese era. They carry an antiqued charm, and whisper extraordinary stories; extracted from the everyday ordinariness. Though Vagator beach is quiet at day, but the nights here are exciting. The focus of the nightlife around the Vagator beach is the Primrose café. Behind the beach there are several sea food joints, serving Goan specialties.
