We would like to thank for giving us opportunity for fam trip to Haridwar & Rishikesh for 2 days, and it was really very helpful in updating the hotels and the area and also add-on information. We are pleased to submit our observation inspection report for the hotels we (Narayan & Sanjay) have recently visited in Haridwar and Rishikesh. We have classified the hotels from top to bottom OR luxury to budget class as per our on spot observations.

Hotels in Haridwar

Aalia Resort - Luxury Boutique Hotel (5*Star)
Hotel is located 17 km from Haridwar main town and 45 km from Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun). Total number rooms are 12 Villas feature living area with different room category, Chila Suite, Garden Suite, River Suite and Aalia Villa categories with fireplace and equipped with an LCD TV, DVD player, safe, minibar and tea/coffee-making facilities. Hotel itself has built metallic road 1 ½ kms from the main road head to resort through the village fields. Property is impressing, wide spread, specious rooms, Swimming pool, big lash green garden & lawns, nice restaurant with 60 person capacity. It has own helipad and private bathing Ghat on river Ganges. As per hotel staff, most of high profile client and ministers often stays in this hotel during Char dham yatra period, and hotel is run by one of member of parliament in UP. Hotel provide complimentary transfers from Railways station/ Airport by own 4x4 private jeep.

Aalia Resort is highly recommended for high-end clients, luxury or leisure clients.

Regenta Orkos – 4* Star
Earlier know as Country Inn & Suites, and now taken over by Royal Orchid hotels, located 7 ½ kms from Haridwar main town towards Rishikesh, and 30 Kms from Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun). Total number of rooms is 56, and base category is Club Room, then Executive Room, and all rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities including tea/coffee maker, mini bar, LCD TV, electronic safe and toiletries.

Property is very good, nice reception & lobby area, neat & clean, specious rooms, and nice restaurant with 60 person capacity, staff was attentive and well dressed.

Regenta Orkos is recommended for middle range & upper class clients.

Godwin Hotel – 4* Star
Hotel is located 7 km from Haridwar main town towards Rishikesh, and 30 Kms from Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun). Total number of rooms is 119, categorised as Executive Room, Premier Room and Twin Queen. Spacious and well-furnished rooms, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel has a swimming pool, and multi-cuisine restaurant with 60 person capacity

Property has striking entrance and lobby area, neat & clean, specious rooms, and nice restaurant with 60 person capacity, staff was attentive and well dressed.

Godwin is also recommended for middle range & upper class clients

Haveli Hari Ganga – 3*Star (Heritage)
Hotel is located bang on the bank of the holy river Ganges in main Haridwar town, just 10 minutes walking distance to Har-Ki-Pauri, and even it has own bathing ghat and Terrace sit-out area with fantastic views of River Ganga . Number of rooms is 20, categorised as Superior & Superior Ganga View (06 Rooms). Spacious and well-furnished rooms, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel provide free pick-up from car parking area (Maya Devi Parking) and it takes only 5 minutes by Cycle Rickshaw

Property is good, small reception & lobby area but nice decor, neat & clean, Superior Ganga View are more spacious rooms and recommended for every clients, nice restaurant on with 30-40 person capacity, staff was good, attentive and well dressed.

Haveli Hari Ganga is recommended for middle range clients, even average clients, or clients specially wants to stay in main the Haridwar town closer to Ghat.

Ganga Lehri – 2* Star (Heritage - Budget)
Located just on the foot step of holy river Ganges main Haridwar town, 100 meters or 5-10 minutes walking distance to Har-Ki-Pauri. Number of rooms is 16, categorised as Superior (14 Rooms) & Suite (02 Rooms). Spacious and well-furnished rooms, Electronic safe, mini bar, TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the room. Rooms has no view, but one can get nice view of River Ganga from the lawn in front of the rooms and even one can see Ganga Ararti while sitting at lawn area. Property is small but ideal location, reception, small lobby & restaurant are located on the first floor, neat & clean, nice restaurant on with 30 person capacity, staff was good, attentive and well dressed. Hotel provide free pick-up from car parking area (Maya Devi Parking) and it takes only 5 minutes by Cycle Rickshaw.

Ganga Lehri is recommended for every average clients, budget clients, or clients who are interested to stay in main Haridwar town and closer to Ghat.

Radisson Blu – 5* Star Hotel
Hotel is located 18 km from Haridwar main town towards Delhi highway. Total number of rooms is 129, categorised as Standard Room, Business class Room and Presidential suite. All modern facilities, Spacious and well-furnished rooms, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel has a swimming pool, 1 multi-cuisine restaurant with 80 people capacity, 1 coffee shop restaurant with 20-30 person capacity, conference hall approx 200-250 person and separate entry for wedding. Other small hall capacity of 25–30 people and provide for group to have meditation and yoga.

Actually, it is a big property, striking entrance and lobby area, neat & clean, specious rooms, and nice restaurants in-front of reception, staff was attentive and well dressed, but the only thing is location which is a big disadvantage, it is far away from Haridwar main town about 30-45 drive by car.

Radisson Blu is recommended for upper class clients who are interested in staying in 5*Star property

Hotel in Rishikesh

Aloha on Ganges – 4* Star
Hotel is located right on the banks of the River Ganga in Rishikesh and just 10 minute walking to Lakshman Jhula. The total number of rooms 88, categorized as Deluxe 5, two bed room apartment 20 room, three bed room apartment 20 room and all Apartments are river facing and have private kitchen who are staying in long stay they prepare their food. 4 superior rooms have full view River Ganges. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel has a swimming pool, 2 multi-cuisine restaurant and main restaurant where they surved breakfast with 80 – 90 people capacity, other restaurant is back side of hotel and they surved only All cart meal and full view on river Ganges.

It is a huge property, big gardens (1 in-front & 01 in backside near restaurant), striking entrance and lobby area, neat & clean, specious rooms, and nice restaurants, staff was attentive and well dressed.

Aloha on Ganges is recommended for high-end or upper market clients or leisure clients.

Dewa Retreat – 3* Star
Self categorized 4* Star Boutique Hotel and 10 minute walking distance to Laxman Jhula. Total rooms 36 and category Deluxe 20 (Non river facing), Super Deluxe 14 (river facing) and 2 suite rooms. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel has a swimming pool, 1 multi-cuisine restaurant, called SATTVIK and with 20 – 30 people capacity. The retreat features wheelchair-friendly check-in and handicap-accessible floors. Hotel also organizes daily activities of Yoga Activity, Ayudvedic treatment, Spa and Rejuvenation. Just in-front of the hotel entrance is their specialized restaurant Pure & Soul (café and organic kitchen), nice set-up, sitting & standing and shoes are not allowed inside restaurant.

Hotel Dewa Retreat is recommended for middle range clients or average clients even we can use this hotel in upper class clients if there is no optional available in 4* Star.

Divine Resort – 3* Star
It is also categorized 4* Star and 5-10 minute walking distance to Laxman Jhula and located in the middle of the town. Total rooms 30 Rooms categories 20 Executive, 4 family & 4 family suites & 2 Presidential suite. Rooms are built to give you a serene beauty of Holy Ganges. You’ll nowhere feel that beautiful flow of Holy river. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Big conference hall for meeting, wedding event, Ayudvedic treatment, Spa and Rejuvenation. 15 -20 more rooms are coming summer session.

Divine Resort is recommended for middle range clients, and average clients, or clients specially wants to stay in main Rishikesh town closer Laxman Jhula

The Narayana Palace Resort – 3* Star
Located just 15-20 minute walking distance to Lakshman Jhula. The total number of rooms 29, categorized as 10 Deluxe, 11 cottages in-front of the swimming pool , 9 family suite. Cottages and family suite are full view on river Ganges. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Hotel has a swimming pool, multi-cuisine restaurant with 30–40 people capacity and hotel also provided Non-Veg meal.

Recommended for budget, average and middle range clients only

Vasundhar Resort
Centrally located 3 kms from main Rishikesh town and it takes 10 minute walking distance to Ram Jhula. The total number of room 33, 16 Deluxe, 11 Premium (Mountain facing/ Garden facing), 6 Suites rooms. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, mini bar, LCD/TV and tea/coffee maker in all the rooms. Multi-cuisine restaurant where they serve breakfast with 40 – 50 people capacity.

Recommended for average and middle range & eve budget clients only.

Ganga Kinare – 4* Star
As per hotel, it is 4* Boutique hotel , located 10 kms away from Rishikesh main town and situated on Rishikesh – Haridwar highway just on the edge of the road. 4 Category of rooms i. e. Semi Deluxe (No View of the River Ganga.), Deluxe (Partial view of the river Ganga), Super Deluxe (view of the river Ganga and the Rajaji National Park), Executive (no view of the river Ganga). All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Multi-cuisine restaurant with 30 – 40 peoples and full view on river Ganges. Reception is nice, restaurant is also nice and back side of the hotel has River Ganga views and they also have own bathing ghat.

Recommended for budget, average and middle range clients only

EllBee Ganga View – 3 *Star
Located 10 Kms away from Rishikesh main town, on main road Rishikesh – Haridwar highway. Total number of room 32, 15 Deluxe, 12 Premium , 4 Ganges view and 01 Suites rooms. All rooms are spacious, well furnished room, Electronic safe, Wi-Fi, mini bar, LCD/TV and tea/coffee maker are fitted in all the rooms. Multi-cuisine roof top restaurant with 30 – 40 people capacity & nice view on river ganges.

Recommended for budget, average and middle range clients only

Sanskriti Vedic Resort – 2* Star
This hotel is specially famous for Ayurveda, yoga and Meditation. Located right on the bank of river ganges and just 5 minute walk to Ram Jhula. The total number of rooms 6 and every room name in city i.e Varanasi, Kolkata, Allahabad, etc. All the rooms are spacious, luxurious with all the modern amenities and offer splendid Ganga view. Each room is unique and has been individually themed to depict six significant holistic places along the Ganga. All the rooms are decorated according to a different city theme. Small Multi cuisine restaurant with 15 – 20 pax and restaurant have full view on ganges and people can also see the Aarti ceremony in Parmath Niketan.

Sanskriti Vedic Resort hotel is recommended specially for Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation clients.

Parmath Niketan Ashram
It a truly spiritual, located on bank of Ganges and in lush Himalayas. It is largest ashram in Rishikesh. They have 1000 rooms, out of 950 rooms are Non-A/C or air cooler and 50 rooms are A/C river facing. Some rooms have attached, western-style bathrooms and many have hot & cold running water. Linens are also provided. Ashram provides a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere to pilgrims and devotees. The simplicity of ashram living and yet are equipped with the necessary modern amenities. Daily activities include morning universal prayers, yoga and meditation classes, satsang and lecture programs, kirtan, the world-renowned Ganga Aarti at sunset, as well as Nature Cure and Ayurvedic treatment. They have a Canteen (Kitchen) with 50-60 person capacity and service vegetarian meals on Thali (Plate) system based, cost of a Thali is just 60 rupees.

It was too crowded with the domestic clients as well as foreign clients who stay in long period, since it was winter holiday period for schools in Delhi. Recommended only, specially for Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation clients.
