Day 01: Arrival at Lhasa
From Kathmandu, your flight arrives at the Lhasa International Airport, after an unforgettable flight over the Himalayan ranges. After checking into your hotel, you will spend the day relaxing and acclimatizing yourself to the surroundings, especially the weather.
Day 02- 03: Lhasa
As you go on a tour of this city in the heart of "Shangri La", feel yourself step back into time. Visit the Jokhang Monastery, the bustling Barkhor Bazaar and the Drepung and Sera monasteries. The Potala Palace once housed the Dalai Lama. The large pagodas of the Palace tower over the surrounding streets.
Day 04: Lhasa- Xigatse
After breakfast, you will be driven to Xigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. The route from Lhasa to Xigatse, at an altitude of 4000 kilometers, is in itself a wonderful sight. Spend the rest of the day sightseeing in Xigatse, visiting the monasteries at the banks of the Yalunzangbu and watching the sun set over the craggy peaks.
Day 05: Xigatse- Gyantse
In the morning, you will be driven across the lovely Gyantse town, at a height of 3,900 meters. The scenic route will cover narrow mountain passes and small streams. The night will be spent at a hotel in Gyantse
Day 06- 07: Gyantse- Tsedang
In the morning, you will be taken to Tsedang, famed for its monasteries. After a quick lunch, a tour of Yumbulakang and Samye Monasteries is on the cards. Spend two days at this little Shangri-La.
Day 08: Tsedang- Kathmandu
From Tsedang, you will be taken to the airport, where you can take a flight to Kathmandu or any destination of your choice.
