MD FAM TRIP TO RAJASTHAN
MD went for a fam trip from 30th to 31st March covering Gangaur festival, Udaipur and other properties. After that Mr. Amarjeet from inbound joined MD from 1st to 4th April for a study trip to Chittorgarh, Castle Bijaypur, Fort Begu, Bhaisrogarh, Sapotra/Ramathra Fort, Kota and Bundi etc. This exercise was done to update himself and detailed report on entire tour was shared with inbound team. MD and Mr. Manoj went to Jaipur to exhibit at GITB and to Shekhavati area for a study tour from 23rd April to 28th April.
VISIT OF SCHOOL GROUP
A school from California organizes school trips to different countries every year during their spring holiday break and this time the group strength of approx 30 (25 students and 5 teachers) visited India. Their main aim is to educate themselves in different ways. They visited government school in Bhango village, primary health center, done social and recreational activities, celebrated Holi. Visit PCI’s centre in Delhi and Shelter Home.Bishop’s school staff, teachers and student’s parents collectively do charity and donated to PCI (Project Concern International) orphanage. This year they donate approx $35,000 to PCI, Delhi.
VISIT OF FOREIGN TOUR OPERATOR
One of our prestigious tour operator from Australia was on tour to India with her group. MD sir met her along with our inbound staff Anushree Sharma. The group spent wonderful time in India & returned back with wonderful memories.
INBOUND FAM TRIPS
Haridwar and Rishikesh fam trip during 5th and 6th January 2017
Sanjay shah and Narayan visited Haridwar and Rishikesh to check on the latest development and to check on the hotels so that we can have the latest information in office which will help us to use better hotels for our clients without any negative feedback. They had inspected many hotels in 2 days from 5 to 6 Jan and have submitted a complete report about the FAM tour.
Pushkar Fam Trip
Sanjay Shah and Mukesh both have been sent to Pushkar to check on the latest development as Taj group, Westin, and many other new hotels came in recently. They have checked almost all tourist hotels there. They submitted a full report about the Fam tour and all reports will be used by the team.
Fitur took place from 18 to 22 Jan’17 at Madrid, Spain. TSI exhibited as a seller and MD attended the same. Many Interesting meetings took place with our existing FTO’s and a lot of important communication was exchanged viz., new ideas, itineraries etc.
Another exhibition ITB took place at Berlin, Germany &TSI exhibited as a seller and MD sir attended from 7th to 13th March and represented TSI. Our existing FTO’s also visited and discussed about the future business. Besides this, some new tour operators also visited and discussed about the business.
Another exhibition took place and Mr. Manoj exhibited in BIT fair held in Milan from 2-4th April’17. Met with new and old agents too, discussions about the current business and how to increase the same took place.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS AT TSI
The idea to celebrate Christmas in 2016 differently was conceived by Mrs. Guneeta Taneja-Director and the event took place on 24-12-2016. All the staff were invited to bring their children to the office. Activities were arranged like painting competition, passing the parcel, musical chairs and singing etc. All the children were given gifts and thereafter lunch was served to all staff members. The staff and their children really enjoyed the Christmas celebrations.
NEW CARS ADDED TO TSI FLEET
In our constant endeavor to provide high quality services to our valuable clients, we have added three New Toyota Etios cars in our fleet of vehicles. This time Petrol variant cars are purchased with a view to contribute more towards eco-friendly environment. These cars are equipped with front 2 airbags for driver & co-passenger, air condition/heating, power windows, centre locking, has more leg space, back seat armrest for more comfort & large boot space as well.
Pata AGM took place on 2-Dec-16 at Hotel Claridges. The meeting was chaired by its chairman Mr. Vinod Zutshi ( secretary Tourism ) and was attended by many prominent members. The undersigned as an Honorary Secretary presented an yearly report to all Pata members about the activities which were taken by Pata India office. Before presenting the report prefaced his report with some challenges faced by the Tourism industry during 2015-16 like Nepal Earthquake impact on tourism business & tourist inflow. India- Nepal itinerary was adversely affected resulting in less number of visitors, though the business regained in a year, Ambiguity on purchase & usage of diesel vehicles, Monuments fee hike, Thick smog situation in Delhi and Demonetization.
Annual sports tournament at Friends Club
Like every year, this time too, the undersigned participated in friends Club badminton tournament in December month, played for about 15 days and was a runner up in doubles category. This is an yearly event and in the past he has won single badminton title also.
INCREDIBLE HERITAGE INDIA FESTIVAL & MART 2017
MD attended lunch on 15th Nov at Taj Palace hotel at the launch of the Incredible Heritage India Festival & Mart 2017. An MOU has been signed between Maharaja Gaj Singh ji of Jodhpur on behalf of IHHA & MD-TSI. This festival will be promoted by the heritage hotel association and all FTO’s during their visit will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the owners directly. TSI will help them market this festival and get FTO for the FAM tours.
EXHIBITIONSKERALA TRAVEL MART
TM took place from 27th to 30th Sep at Kochi, Kerala. MD, Mr. Manoj & Mr. Sunil attended the same. Many foreign tour operators visited our stall & interesting meetings took place. As always, this year too a new & attractive theme was used for designing the stall.
