Organized by the prestigious Automobile Club of Monaco, it's the only car race in the world to be held on city streets. The Monaco F1 Grand Prix is held during the last weekend of May every year.

One of the most spectacular sporting events in France, the Tour de France is probably the world's most prestigious and difficult bicycle race. The participating teams race a collective distance of over 3,500 km, traveling through difficult mountain roads in the Pyrenees and the Alps, covering France, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Spain. The Tour de France event is held for 21 days in July every year.

The French Open is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, along with the prestigious Wimbledon, the Australian Open and the US Open. It's one of the biggest sporting events in France.

The Paris Marathon is the most prestigious marathons in the world, drawing participants from all over the globe. Though, the distance covered by the first Paris Marathon in 1896 was 40 km, now it has been increased to 42.195 km, and is limited to 35,000 runners. Organized by the prestigous Amaury Sport Organization, the annual event is normally held on the first Sunday of April every year.

The annual Kandahar-Alpine Skiing World Cup is a circuit of alpine skiing competitions, held at ski resorts across Europe, the continental US, and Canada. The event is normally held in the second week of January every year.
