The city of Bursa in north-western part of the country is known for its industrial and cultural inclination. Located on the northwestern slopes of the Mountain Uludag, 63 miles south-east of Istanbul, Bursa is often cited as Yesil Bursa or Green Bursa due to its innumerable number of parks and gardens across the city and its urban areas. This fourth larges city of Turkey is also known for peach, chestnut and silk industry.
There are several tourist destinations that the city has for the visitors which include a number of mosques like ULUCAMI, Orhan Camii ve Külliyesi, Yesil Camii, and others, Yesil Türbe or Green Tomb, Uludag National Park and the list goes on. How to Reach: The nearest airport is Yenisehir Airport (YEI), locate in the city of Yenisehir in the Bursa Province. There is no train service in Bursa. However, one can reach Bursa from Istanbul in around 3 hours.
