Day 1 ARRIVE MUMBAI

Mahabodhi-temple

On arrival in Delhi meet and greet by our representative in Indian traditional with garlanding and escorted to Hotel. Check in and overnight stay.


Day 2 IN MUMBAI

Morning after breakfast visit Gateway of India, Drive up to Malabar Hill, ‘Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhawan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and Prince of Wales Museum. Overnight at hotel.


Day 3 MUMBAI – AURANGABAD (BY TRAIN # 17617 Tapovan Express DEP @ 0615Hrs. – 1315Hrs.)

Morning transfer to railway station to connect train for Aurangabad. On arrival met with and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon city tour of Aurangabad visiting Biwi-Ka-Muqbara, Aurangabad Caves and Daulatabd Fort. Overnight at hotel. (Ellora caves are closed on Tuesday).


Day 4 AURANGABAD – EXCURSION TO ELLORA CAVES (30 Kms one way)

Morning visit Ellora Caves – 30 Kms from Aurangabad which encompasses the three religion – Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Overnight Stay.


Day 5 AURANGABAD – JALGAON (158 Kms / 3 Hrs.) JALGAON – BHOPAL (By train#12627-Karnataka Express @ DEP JL@ 16:40Hrs. – Arr BPL 23:25Hrs.)

Lumbini

Morning After breakfast drive to Ajanta Caves – located 105 Kms, from Aurangabad. These magnificent rock-cut caves are exclusively Buddhist, unique in three forms of Art – architecture sculpture and painting. Further transfer to Jalgaon Railway Station to connect train for Bhopal. Arrive and check-in to hotel or Overnight stay. (Ajanta caves are closed on Mondays) .


Day 6 BHOPAL – AGRA (BY TRAIN # 12001 NDLS SHATABDI / DEP @ 15:15 Hrs – ARR AGR 21:10 Hrs.)

Morning Sightseeing of Sanchi Stupa. A serene hill crowned by a group of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. Afternoon board Train for Agra. Arrive and Transfer to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 7 AGRA – VARANASI (BY TRAIN: 14864 # MARUDHAR EXPRESS /Dep Agra Fort @ 20:30 – Arr. Varanasi @ 08:45 Hrs.)

Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Agra – visit the magnificent Taj Mahal, Agra Fort – built of red sandstone and marble is a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards, fountains and gates. Evening transfer to the Railway station to board overnight Train to Varanasi. (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays) – Over night Train.


Day 8 VARANASI

In the morning – Arrive Varanasi in met with and transfer to hotel. After Freshen -up visit Sarnath – the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Afternoon proceed for the city tour visiting various temples including The Vishwanath Temple, The Bharat Mata Temple, The Tulsi Manas Temple, Evening view “Aarti” ceremony on the Ghats. Overnight stay.

Day 9 VARANASI – BODHGAYA (255 Kms / 5 Hrs.approx.)

Morning Boat Cruise on river Ganges to observe the way of life of local peoples by the Ghats and later drive to Bodhgaya. Arrive Bodhgaya and check – in at hotel. Bodhgaya – most sacred place for Buddhists where Buddha attained enlightenment. Overnight stay.


Day 10 Bodhgaya

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Mahabodhi Temple – Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum – houses a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D; Visit monasteries. Overnight stay.


Day 11 BODHGAYA – PATNA (160 Kms / 3.40 Hrs.approx.)

After breakfast drive to Patna. Enroute visit Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara Jail in Rajgir. Proceed to Nalanda which was one of the oldest Universities of the world and International Centre for Buddhist studies. Arrive abs visit Patna Museum – has a rich collection of Mauryan and Buddhist sculptures. Overnight stay.


Day 12 PATNA – KUSHINAGAR (213 Kms / 5.15 Hrs.approx.)

Morning drive to Kushinagar, arrival and check – in to hotel. Later visit the Rambhar Stupa – which marks Lord Buddha’s cremation ground, Mahaparinirwana temple – Overnight Stay.


Day 13 KUSHINAGAR – SARAVASTI (238 Kms / 5.30 Hrs.approx.)

Morning drive to Sravasti. Arrive and check – in to hotel. Afternoon visit Sahet-Mahet. Overnight Stay.


Day 14 SRAVASTI / LUMBINI (187 Kms / 4 Hrs.approx.)

Morning drive to Lumbini. Arrive and check – in at hotel. Lumbini – Birth place of Buddha. Evening visit ministries. Overnight stay.


Day 15 LUMBINI / KATHMANDU (BY FLIGHT)

Morning sightseeing of Lumbini and later transfer to airport to board flight for Kathmandu Arrive Kathmandu met with and and transfer to hotel. Kathmandu –Capital of Nepal surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow-capped peaks in its northern and eastern background the Valley. Overnight stay.


Day 16 IN KATHMANDU

Morning after breakfast proceed for city tour of Kathmandu visiting Pashupatinath Temple – the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to lord Shiva, Patan – a city of architecture and fine arts. known as “Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs”. Visit Tibetan Handicraft center. After Lunch Sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath – the oldest Buddhist shrine. Boudhanath – the world’s largest stupa Continue to Kathmandu Durbar Square – the temple of the Living Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Kasthamandup – a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives its name. Overnight Stay.


Day 17 KATHMANDU / DEPARTURE

Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
