The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The country is bordered by Germany to the west and north-west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the north-east.

Matches are usually on Saturdays from August to November and March to May. Ice hockey is another national craze: you can watch matches in bars in most towns in the Czech Republic, or arrange to see games in stadiums during the season (book tickets through sazkaticket.cz). There are plenty of outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and rock climbing to be enjoyed in Bohemia, as well as caving in the Moravian karst.
